Canton Report

If you don't live around dese dem parts... let me tell you about First Monday Trade Days in Canton.

It's a HUGE flea market people. HUGE.

ENORMOUS!

My little piece of heaven.

That's about all you need to know.

Except this time around, I went with 3 marvelous ladies and we all SCORED some GREAT finds!

I mean, totally... S-C-O-R-E-D!

So, Canton was good.

Let me introduce you to some of my new Double-Wide in the Sky Residences.

My little Asian Concrete Very Heavy Statue Friend... yes, he caused me some very sore muscles the next day, but hey... it was worth it!

Nothing like adding to your collection! I love paperweights.... especially the clear bubble ones. And these 2 smaller ones I found for a grand total of $7! A unique rectangular one and a smaller globe paperweight. LOVIN' them!

Speaking of adding to collections, this little vintage teal vase is a beauty that also has been proudly added to one of my collections!

And although I typically stick to the "junk section" of Canton... this trip we found ourselves hanging out in some pavilions when the calm morning weather turned into hectic black clouds and pouring rain. But, I did run into a leather shop that took me back to my childhood. I may be a city girl now, but I am {and always will be} a country girl at heart. And what country girl didn't have a leather belt with her name written on it. Are you singing that song now? "... girl's got her name on the back of her belt...."

So, I caved.... I got a belt. But isn't it AWESOME?!

And then my GREATEST find?

The find that would have made the WHOLE trip worth it {even if I didn't go with awesome gals, even if it did rain the entire day, even if I didn't find anything else, and even if I didn't shove my face with some delicious salty chicken kabobs}....

BTW: Thank God for spell check. I totally spelled "kabobs" "kaboobs".... yikes!

You know I am TOTALLY digging brass. And not only did I find one awesomely gigantic vintage brass candelabra sconce.... but I found...

a pair!

Gorgeous aren't they?

And our two new lamps from ... TJMaxx HomeGoods. A perfect match.

Seriously, Flea Marketing is my little taste of what heaven will be like for me.

I LOVED my day!
