Transition and the Moon

So, it has been somewhat of a tough transition moving to the highrise.

Somewhat..... difficult for this country girl to adjust to the city life. But, I am having a BLAST working through the transition :0)

Part of which takes place on our AWESOME balcony.

So, to contrast: I spent my teenage life hanging out on the roof of my family's house {without the consent of my padres -- I'm a rebel and I know it... so sorry to any paternal people who may be reading this post}. I would view the shooting stars and daydream about being an astronaut. Yes, seriously. I would take in the mystical sea of God's unbelievable creation. In awe. In solitude. It was seriously {padres... please do not read the next sentence}.... SEVERAL times a week. Scary on the roof!

But, now I can walk out to my balcony! And last night.... I was ALONE on our balcony. Enjoying a solitude "Mommy" "Female" "Wife-Incredible" Moment.... and I DASHED inside to grab my awesome new camera to take these pics.

Just magical. The moon peering through the night clouds.

When just a little over 24 hours these same skies were so ominous and devastating....

But, these colors and thise view...

It was breath-taking.

Amazing what can happen in 24 hours.

We are still praying for those affected by the devastating tornadoes and weather. We have heard more and more of people we care about and love who have been somewhat to all the way affected. Our hearts go out to you!

    1. Thanks SO much, Karianne! It is something that I am loving here. It is just gorgeous to see what happens to the sky...

Ok... I know I have so much to learn with this camera, but it has been super easy to learn {for the most m=part for a non-professional}: EOS Rebel T2i. And I only have one lens so far: EFS 18-55 mm.

It has just been fascinating! I want to learn how to do the time lapse photo so I can create light streaks from the cars... that would be cool!

      Thanks again!

  3. I can't quite explain it but reading this post I had the theme song from Green Acres running through my head and you suddenly became a blonde with an accent.
